Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering complete electrical designs,

developing construction documentation, and supporting civil and structural projects. This role

requires strong collaboration, project planning, and technical leadership to meet engineering

objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform detailed, independent work
  • Perform a wide range of design functions including equipment selection, system sizing,
  • load calculations, product specifications, and layout design for electrical,
  • communication, and control systems
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and reports for
  • submission and review
  • Conduct field audits and surveys, documenting existing site conditions and system
  • components
  • Utilize electrical and communication design software (power distribution analysis,
  • RF/link analysis, etc.)
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and follow direction from project leadership
  •  Provide technical guidance to drafters, designers, and construction personnel
  •  Grow into a role leading projects and influencing technical design decisions


Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  •  Professional Engineering (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (Alaska preferred or ability to obtain)
  •  Experience with single-phase and three-phase low voltage distribution systems
  •  Familiarity with RF (radio frequency) systems and telecom network architecture
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  •  Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and lighting/calculation software
  •  Minimum of 2 years of electrical design experience post-licensure preferred
  •  Valid driver’s license required Requirements
  •  Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  •  Must currently reside in Alaska due to business and employment requirements
