Title: Construction Manager – RF & OSP Upgrade Projects

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000 (DOE)

 

Overview:
An established telecommunications organization is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee large-scale OSP upgrade projects in the Anchorage area, with a focus on RF infrastructure. This position plays a key leadership role in coordinating construction teams, ensuring adherence to schedules, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety across all phases of the project.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple field crews and contractors involved in OSP and RF upgrade work.
  • Oversee approximately 12 office staff, 40+ contract splicers, 6–8 in-house fiber splicers, and ~12 construction crews.
  • Drive accountability, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Enforce construction standards, specifications, and best practices to ensure top-tier quality.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and operations to align priorities and resolve issues.
  • Monitor progress, identify roadblocks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement among field and office teams.

 

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in OSP construction management, including direct oversight of RF projects.
  • Strong knowledge of RF network infrastructure, OSP builds, and fiber splicing operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse field and contractor teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and quality standards in complex construction environments.
  • Assertive, proactive management style with a focus on results and team accountability.

 

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with telecom carriers or broadband upgrade initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Alaska’s permitting, environmental, or construction regulations.
