Project Controller - Grants
We are seeking an experienced Project Controller to oversee the financial management and compliance of our federal grants projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects funded by US federal agencies such as USDA and NTIA, ensuring proper accounting, reporting, and adherence to grant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial operations of federal grants projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking project expenditures.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, reimbursement requests, and other required documentation to funding agencies in accordance with grant regulations and deadlines.
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and providing necessary documentation.
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets, identifying variances and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with grant terms and conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring proper documentation and audit trails for all grant-related transactions.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and project performance evaluation.
- Stay current with changes in federal grant regulations, accounting standards, and best practices to ensure continued compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management and accounting for federal grants projects, preferably in the telecommunications or infrastructure industry.
- Proven expertise in managing financial aspects of US federal grants, including USDA and NTIA grants.
- Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations, accounting principles, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
